FVD K24 Dyno 500+ rwhp :)

Went back to the dyno to get some pulls done. I went a couple weeks ago but my dyno runs did not get saved and we did not get torque. I wanted to have the run files so that i can use them as a baseline. Last time I made 516rwhp. This time I made 506rwhp STD corrected and 502 uncorrected. I dont have a stock dynograph on this dyno but my E55 made 500rwhp on the same dyno and went 11.4@123.5. My friends ESS supercharged E92 M3 made 499 on it the same day I made 516.

RWD
K24s
Cargraphic Exhaust
Bosch Motorsports 5bar fpr
FVD Tune
93 Octane
1.1bar peak, dropping down to 0.9bar

I wish it would hold boost better and make that power all the way to redline. Not sure why it drops off...

I will post some pics tommorrow.

Are those stock k24's / stock wastegates. If so, you might want to consider upgrading the wastegates. I believe on the higher gears boost will peak and taper off after a certain RPM. Do you have a boost / AF graph.

I have the same turbos- they are probably K24/26's - old school. Power comes up hard after 3500 rpm. Its interesting that theyre called 'race turbos' because they are hard to tame at the track. Great for highway pulls.
Do you have any 60-130 times?

No the K24 "Race" turbos are not the same as the k24/k26. The race turbos either have tightened wastegates or maybe slightly ported. FVD would not give me a clear answer, just said they have better top end then regular k24s. I do not have any 60-130 times yet. the only things i have to compare to is other cars i dynoed on the same dyno and that my friends dynoed there.

correct these are K24s not K24/K26 Hybrids. what is on my car is called FVD stage 3. K24/K26 are FVD stage 4

...either that or just ported a little. i do not think my wastegates are upgraded.

marksi - email me the run file. id love to overlay it with my run file. you have my email.....if not pm me and ill send it to you.

honestly the car runs good. i have made a lot of 1/4 mile passes on different cars. judging by feel and the dyno #s on that particular dyno (my friends and i have been using the same dyno for 6 yrs now) .....i would call it 11.3-11.5 if i can get it to hook OK at 125mph range.

i do have drag radials so i will take it to the track sometime soon.

Do you have any 60-130 times yourself ? I can get a pretty good deal on FVD24/26's with tune, so would be interested to have an idea of what they can do !
