Request: how much power am I making?
Hey whats up guys, been a good while since I posted. Took the better part of the winter away from posting here, but I have tried to keep up as much as possible through lurking. Welcome and congrats to all the new faces and new owners. I'm now just over 1 year of ownership into my TT and still loving every bit of it. Spent most of last summer just enjoying the car and not worrying about mods/power as just being in it and driving it put me on cloud 9. That initial awe has worn off and I'm curious about the power claims I was told when sold the car, hopefully some of you can help me.
The previous owner had these mods done to the car: K24s, EPL Tune (standard K24 tune by them according to Tony), Europipe Exhaust (branded by Roock Racing), EVO 1 bar WG, 5 bar FPR, Forge DVs. The power claim was on a Dyno Dynamics: 467whp & 554wtq (92oct) @1.2 bar. Apparently he was planning on going the K24/18g route before he had to make the decision to sell. So my question is, are these numbers reasonable and probably with this setup? My next question, if they are reasonable, what would be the next best mod to perform to cross over that 500whp threshold? 18gs and an upgraded tune from EPL I assume?
I know I should just take it to a dyno and see, which will happen at some point. For now, I'd rather just speak to yall about it: )
As always, your input is much appreciated!
Justin

No problem...
just do the 18gs and thats it.. if you need help getting them done let me know.. I get 1 week turn around... If EPl will not do an upgrade for a nominal fee for the 18gs ( I do not know how they do it- doe it stay with the car or with the owner)... then we have some real good maps for 18gs with 5 bar...
good luck,
markski

Sounds good Mark, noted. Probably going to wait at least one more year before I move forward with anything, what I have now is still more than enough according to my butt. Thanks again,
Justin
