Europipe exhaust on an automatic

I am trying to sell my europipe exhaust stage II. The fella who is interested in it has a 996 turbo tiptronic. His mechanic told him that he can't put this exhaust on his car.... Is this true? Anybody with a tip and a europipe exhaust??

That's what I thought. I even checked out the europipe website and it states not recommended on tiptronic. So who knows?

They have a stage 1 (perfect on either) or the stage II quiet as well as the stage II loud. If you have the stage II loud I think what they are saying is that there will be some resonance. Fitment-wise it's all good though.

We've done those on tiptronics and there's little to no resonance to be honest. It's one of the more quiet exhausts out there.

Apparently it has something to do with the 100 cells. Where as a tiptronic requires 200 cells.

That's good news, and corresponds to what I've read about reviews of it since I just bought one from a member here. I'm planning on installing the EuroPipe Loud on my 2002 996tt Tip in about a week. It actually has cat delete pipes as well. So why exactly is the Europipe Loud version"not recommended" by Europipe on the Tip?

I'm sorry... are you actually coming back here and posting the uninformed crap you are getting from some 'installer' in edmunton Canada, and disregarding the free (correct) advice you are receiving from some of the best 996 TT tuners in the world?

O-K

The EP2Q will work fine on a tip. How much are you selling it for?

more importantly HOW MUCH IS THIS TUNER MAKING BY SELLING THIS GUY A DIFFERENT EXHAUST?

Its not from the installer, the buyer is hearing this. Hey I'm just the messenger. Didn't sound right to me either. I wanted to hear more opinions from other owners.

If you take a look at the europipe website it actually states the 996 stage II loud is not recommended for tiptronic. Maybe they are lying as well..

It is not recommended because of the drone that it will have in the Tip. They aren't saying it will not fit, it's for the sound level in the car.
