Need new tires , what to go with ?

For the price I bought a set of these and am a bit disappointed. I have two track days on them and on wet surface they are the worst tire I've ever driven. Was like driving on ice. Dry traction was very good though and no complaints around town. Living in the NW though, I need a better wet tire.

Pilot Sport Cups are not very good on the street, IMO. They need to be very warm IOT to hook...and a lot of times they simply don't have enough time to warm up properly on the street to give you the traction you need.
I had 345 Invos on my Z06, and even though they are good tires, they simply do not have enough traction for the power you are making. I could break them loose in 4th gear on the street at close to 100 mph. I wouldn't bother with regular street tires at your power level. You need drag radials or R-compounds to hook properly. 'Maybe' NT05's (which are in between r-compounds and street tires), but I still don't think they'll be enough.

I would actually run these, but they don't come in 19" (I just realized you need 19's as well). So, I'd probably go with the 19" Toyo R888's instead. They are essentially the same tire as the NT01. That's actually what I plan on running on my HREs.

Nick,
The NTo1 are the best all around tire for your set up (except of course rain, but no street tire will give you traction at your power level).
They are phenomenal in the twisties, that is what they are designed for. They wear pretty decently for an R comp. The price on them has gone up, but they are still a bargain.
But yes, you need 18 inch rims.

You may not be referring to R888 but they have a few 19in sizes...
