I ran the Toyos on my M3 Nick, they are not enough tire for your power level. I have the advan neovas on the Beamer now and they are definitely better than the TR 1's.

I was just out testing the car out a little because I was on my way home from food. I didn't brake boost in 2nd but just rolled into and had a SMALL amount of wheel spin up top but the car was still pulling hard! The T1R's are nice to. Hopefully they work out good!

If you ever get the Yokohamas, get the 08's as they are an improvement from the 07's.

Chris,

The tires are called Yokohama Advan Neova 08...I don't think it is a reference to the calender.

Dude I swear he goes to bed at 8pm every night. I can call at 7:30pm and he will answer but I am not kidding I can call at 8:01pm and he doesn't answer. I've done this multiple times. I won't even think about calling him past 9pm, but seriously 8pm Walnut?!?!??!

At least I can expect to see you posting till about midnight even during teaching season! I stop between 1-2am usually, sometimes earlier just depends on how busy I am during the day.

It's a new generation high performance tire, still not as fast as the fastest R-comps, but they have the same good feel (not squirmish or melting under the car like most street tires), they are also consistent and great for both street and track usage, without wearing out superfast or having obnoxious sound or character on street. It's like "the R-comp tire's little sibling with better durability and usable on street".

doing some research as I will need new tires very soon and I'm interested to hear about what you have to say about these tires.
I take it that you decided to downsize from 315 to 305 as they don't make the R888 that wide.
I'm in the same position as you were as my car now has the 315/25/19 PS2's in the back and the there aren't too many options for that size.
It's a GT2 so no 4WD and no PSM and came with 19" wheels
