Need new tires , what to go with ?

Ok , my rear tires are shot so i need new rubber ,im not sure what to go with, i mainly use them for street, late night highway pulls in mexico, and cornering, and need them to have grip to put alot of power down.

i was thinking of the nitto invo's ? anyone have experience with them ? (or anyother nitto thats better?)

i can also get toyos , really really cheap, how do those compare and which ones would anyone suggest the Nt's?

sizes are the typical 315/25/19 rear 245 /30/19 fronts.

any help/info and other suggestions are appreciated fellas

thanks you.

I've heard great things about he INVOs, so I think you'd be happy there.

I'm running Kumho XS 315s in the rear and have to say that the grip is quite a bit higher than I had expected. Well priced too. Just something to think about.

My friend's 1400hp IROC runs T1Rs and he loves them all things considered. They are no longer in production but they have the T1S which is supposed to be similiar.

Was originally going with the NT05, but the sorter tread life, shallow tread depth, and higher cost is what swayed me to the XSs.

I have no experience with the others.

i'd say if using for the street stay away from R tires like R888. used these on a lightweight lotus and chewed them up after only few laps. rubber's way too soft imo. Not sure what the compound specs are in those sizes, i was using much smaller equivelants. check the side wall rating as well

might want to consider using same tires front/rear in case corners are on the menu.

advan neovas work well for me but believe they dont come in 315.

high speed runs in mexico... better safe than sorry. may be just go with what's tryed and tested.

Be careful with the nittos. Here is what my 285/25/20 looked like after a 180mph pull on a dyno (4th gear in my E55). This tire was practically new and blew out.

I contacted Nitto and they blew me off.

Would I buy Invos again, maybe as they were a good tire even in the rain. Would I go 175+ on them, definetly not. I have went 190+ on PS2s in the E55.

You're probably going to think I'm crazy bit I'm running Hancook Ventus V12 evo K110. They really grip well and at 180mph, no problem. I'm a newbie to this site so if I'm off base just ignore me . They have a great rating and have been reviewed quite well too. Very reasonable as well.

Nick I run Nitto INVO's and Lil Powell does to on his C5. They are a VERY nice tire and hook fairly well for a non drag radial!

Yeah after seeing that it kind of bothers me too. Honestly I've ran them up to probably 150-160. Though the only thought about his tire problem was maybe it was a defective tire possibly. At the moment I only have rear's because I didn't need to change my fronts but its about time to do so. From the experience I have had and same with my brother is they grip VERY good. I've driven in heavy rain (not by choice LOL) with them and so has Matt and they held it VERY well. I will tell you though on my kill setting it will spin them without a problem, but that is the problem with a non-drag radial tire esp. when they are 19s. I know the Viper guys have gone mid 9s @ 160+ on them though. That's what sold my brother at first then sold me on them. Plus the price is HARD to beat.

If you were local I'd let you take them around some turns in either car so you can see how you like them.

One thing I also forgot to say is that my brother had them on his stock Jeep SRT8 rims until he put his 22's on. He loved them even on the Jeep.
