HOWEVER for "Days of Thunder" fans, loose is not necessarily fast! If you want to correct your vehicles tendency to push, the solution is to add more front grip, with the appropriate sway bar set. By taking rear grip away from the car, sure you've made the car oversteer, but you have taken away from the vehicle's overall grip. Say a stock car has 100% grip, by adding a stiffer rear bar you will reduce your overall grip to (for arguments sake) 90%. The car won't push as much because more rear bar made the car looser, but you subracted from the car's overall grip. Less grip = Less potential speed.

Instead of subtracting grip from the rear(which is IMPERATIVE to good mid corner speed and exit speed) you should be focused on adding front grip, thus getting the front end to turn in better. The cure for this is not adding more rear bar, and it is NOT more chamber!!!!

It takes a lot of work to setup a properly fast car. We did not win the 2004 Grand Am Series Championship and the 2006 24 Hours at Daytona by simply guessing or setting up our cars wrong. We do not guess about what it takes to make a car fast....we know because this stuff has been tested by all of the front running Porsche race teams.

I mean no offense by any of my comments. However, TPC Racing has made our name based on our PRO Racing success in both the IMSA Supercar Series and the Rolex Grand Am Series. My comments are meant to help those looking to improve their track times while driving a car that inspires more confidence, even at the when running at 10/10s.

So how would you go about adding more front grip to our cars?

-Our rear bar is significantly different than the H&R bar as our bar is hollow(like the factory bar), the H&R bar is solid.
...
What are the dimensions (OD and ID) of the bars that you recommend for the 996TT?
