Well, but the 2003+ cars also have a normal antenna plug, right? So it should be possible with a FM modulator. Mine is a 2002 TT and I think I also have the M.O.S.T. bus system installed.

2002 porsches do not have MOST. it began to be installed on MY2003 and after cars.

perhaps earlier in europe

the easiest way to tell is

9X6:
PCM1 or CDR-220 = NOT MOST.
PCM2 or CDR-23 = MOST

all 9x7 and cayennes are MOST as well

Okay, I have a PCM1 in my 02 TT, then I prolly don't have MOST. But I thought that there were two versions of the PCM1 aswell: an 8 bit based and a 16 bit based navigation unit. I thought that the 16 bit version also uses the MOST bus.

So the PCM1 with non-shiny buttons was only used in 02 cars... and the non-shiny buttons were the only difference? No MOST? *sniff* Well, it will become a unique item in a couple of years then.

BTW, I have that Becker cable and don't need it. I'd be happy to sell it for $15 + shipping.
Yeah, I have one of those too. If anyone wants it, pm me.

BTW, Tom at Dension said he was going to register on this site so he could give us updates on the MOST adapter. TOM: how 'bout an update?

Okay, I did some research on this stuff and came up with this:
http://www.ihavetohave.it/product.php/2099/200/

It's amazing: It let's you control an iPod via the PCM or the standard Porsche OEM radio head units. No other remote control needed, simply install the iPod as a "virtual" cd changer and control everything through your PCM or Porsche OEM radio (incl. playlist-selection and all that stuff).

It also charges your iPod and automatically turns it off, when you leave the car. How cool is that?

Order already placed.

Yea, that sucks...

...but don't spoil my happiness! I have a 02 TT... No MOST! Yeeeeeha! I finally got this figured out. Not finding a solid and clean solution for MP3-playback in a high-end car really got on my nuts for years now. Then god came and finally brought a solid, clean and not even too expensive solution.

/me is happy.
