???X73 Carrera Race Suspension???

If this thread gets any traction, the first question is always, what are you looking for in a suspension upgrade?
I looked at both on the advice of my tuner (EPL) and decided on the PSS10s because they are adjustable while the X73s are not.
Around town I run on setting 5 front and 6 back. At track I run on 9 front and 10 back. Makes a big difference. Recently driving home from the track I had to pull over and dial them down because I forgot to at the track and they were vibrating my fillings over the joint expansions on the highway.
Also, set as above, so far at the track I haven't felt like I am outdriving the suspension by a lot, but if I continue, I may bite the bullet and get some real track shocks, though this will significantly hurt street drivability.
Flexibility is good for now.

LVDell over on rennlist chose the X73 suspension... couple of posts on his rationale.

on 5/6, yes, ride quality is comparable. In fact, if I know I am going to be going fast, I often turn them up to 8/9 on street for better front end control. On stock front end felt "floaty" at speeds over 120 mph.
with PSS10's, especially on track where I often hit +140mph, car just sits there nicely

I've had the X73 since 2006, I am very happy with it. Not too rough, not too soft. It lowers it a little over an inch but not too low. Thought I was going to need sways but surprisingly didn't.. they come with stiffer motor mounts but I swapped for the even stiffer RS ones after a couple years (there is a good market for used x73 motor mounts). While it's not adjustable like the PSS's, I also don't brainf*ck myself with seemingly endless adjustments.....and last but not least, the real beauty is the dealers have settings in their alignment machine for the x73 suspension option, which is pretty darn good :-)

I have thought about going for X73, but went for a KW V3 (reworked from Manthey Motors).
Reason is that I drive a lot on the Nordschleife.
For street with occasional track... I would probably go for X73.

My friend has a set of custom PSS9's that he tracks that were re-valved and re-sprung by Bilstein and they are completely different than the off the shelf variety PSS9's.

I have driven a car with that suspension. It feels like a factory well set up system. It even includes motor mounts if purchased complete. I agree with D33PBLU3 also that the more adjustments the more crazy you get.
I would say its like a PSS-9 (what I run now) on setting 5-6 also. Very nice. 1-2 wont work well on the road and anything above 6-7 floats anyway. 5-ish on a PSS-9 or X-73 feels right with the factory alignment on any surface. Pricey though. Try Suncoast.

SamboTT is right on the money, it is one of the best factory option setups I have driven, Porsche definitely did their homework. FIW the GT2 setup is height adjustable, have absolutely no idea about cost, ride quality etc, but keep in mind it's for the GT2 which is a beast.
Sunset is good, I got mine through http://carnewal-europe.com, I am sure the exchange rate was a little better back then.
