While it is true that one of Speed Gallery's mechanics has departed, their head mechanic / owner (Dan) remains, and he is taking on greater hands on responsibilities (as he did for years before opening SG) while they locate a replacement (which is in the works). Personally, I'd rather have Dan work on my car than the recently departed mechanic (no disrespect to V intended). Having been to the shop twice this week, I can tell you that operations continue unabated. In fact, they are undertaking a new, very agressive project -- Dan showed me the turbos and all I can say is .

Craig thanks for the post...
your post should clear things up. Everything is running just fine here. We are working on big power projects that I will keep everyone posted on. This is how rumors start.

Hopefully they don't make the same mistake most tuners make with turbos and make them too big, or go the water cooled ball bearing route and worry about the incidentals after the fact(i.e. fuel flow, cooling, heads/cams and rods) I'm seeing more and more tuners want bigger hp/tq claims for marketing purposes without thinking about what happens when they exceed the limitations of the engine/clutch parameters. Sell the turbos and you're on your own.

Less time for customer service ? what are you talking about ?
Dan spent with me and my TT more time then all other tuners I met in my life put together .
All he does is relentlessly explain and educate his customers about their cars, his enthusiasm for porsche is unheard of, god knows how many times he stayed late to work on my car and patinatly go over with me on the project.
I am a Speed Gallery customer and friend of those guys, your claims are uncalled for.

Sorry for no spelling check.

Hands on like hands on the turbos?
Seems from what I hear he spends less time on customer service and more time on go-karts which has hurt his client base, this is coming from clients which have been forced to go to other local shops for service. Hopefully things will change for the better.
Hopefully it won't change to Kart gallery, as originally predicted by Matthew Fresh

Moving, who knows, maybe down??
I heard from the front office that the head mechanic/installer has jumped ship and that everything is on hold. Looks like lots of oil changes and tune-ups now.

Or is that left? Right?
BTW do go-karts need tune-ups, I thought they were two strokes.
