K16/k26
Has anyone ever run these, do they work or is the difference too large?
How would they compare against say K16/16G or Billets?
Im after somethng for fast road use. I live in the UK where there are lots of roundabouts and short stretches of road, so low rev spool up is quite important rather than 60-130 and top end.
Regards
John

a 16g is a great wheel and affordable upgrade... there is another one called super 60 that does great too... sure other are available but at considerably higher price...
A 16g with a 1 bar spring and a good custom tune will do very very well for what you plan on doing....

Marski,
Sorry for jumping in on the same thread.
How much of a standard K16 would be used to upgrade to a 16g. I have just bought 2 new K16 and are fitted.
How much would it cost.
With 100 cell cats and decent exhaust what sort of gains with standard and then with uprated inter coolers.
I have a revo stage 2 but I was wondering what the 16g are capable of generally and not just in my case. I'm also from the UK and have the same issues with roundabouts and tight twisty mountain roads.
Any other mods required with the 16g?
Thanks
Frank.

I just set up Gary in the UK with this set up. 16gs a5 fpr and a custom tune. He has an exhaust and gt2 ics.
Not sure but you guys make live Close by. He has a company called Parr doing the isntall this week. Would not Hurt talking To him.
With good bar and plate intercooler on top of that you can hit 500rwhp. You need a free flowing exhaust. Usually 200 cells are a little restrictive.
I'll pm you with prices.

I would be modest. It also depends on your exhaust.

Yep, like I said it has to do with the exhaust as well...

Stevo in Scotland has a 16/26g set up with protomotive / Fearnsport tune..... from what I can see these turbo's spool quick and kick hard.... don't see much downside to be honest !

The thing I'm trying to understand is the relationship between housing size and wheel size. Since the 16G billets seem to have the same performance as K24/ whatevers, it is confusing. Seems the K16 with a larger wheel does about the same as the larger housing with an 18 wheel. I'm not interested in the really big turbos and engine build type set ups, just mods to the factory type turbos.
