Wonder what would happen... but then again, Porsche must not be letting us see it for a very good reason.

Switzer, EVOMS, Protomotive, and EPL all have multiple cars running 650-700+whp on the stock bottom end successfully with 10 of thousands of miles. My motor has 15K on it since being modified and 30K total miles. I drive my car hard, I don't abuse it. There is a big difference. Three years ago there was not nearly as many tuning solutions for these cars as there are now. I'm not arguing with you because quite frankly the points I'm stating aren't debatable they are fact. A properly tuned car will run 50K miles at 700whp I have no doubt about it in my mind.

This is still going on? Lol. One good thing about this thread i met another 996tt guy im going to meet up with soon..This car might be quicker but there will be no headache involved..

Remember, the whole talk about how strong it is started when it was compared to the S54. No one even mentions that the compression is what holds the S54 back and even with the compression penalty it still gets right into the same range the 996tt does. No one finds that impressive? Only one person mentions the compression?

Ya, he seems like a cool dude and that is just a better solution for everybody. I don't think you have to worry about him being some kid who just wants to street race and brag about it everywhere on the internet. Good luck, be safe.

Porsche has build a top of the line mid-engined car before.
but it still cant hold a candle to performance of the antiquated designed 911 gt2rs

Do you believe rear engine is superior to mid? Seems Porsche doesn't, which is why they hold the Cayman back and why their supercar is mid-engine, right?

Here Ryan.....it seems that in the last year one SC E46 has moved ahead of me. Also note that these times are way behind the Porsche times.

There are 3 VF Stage 3's but none have run 60-130 unfortunately but I'm not sure how they stack up to you.

This thread is such a waste of time. People purchase what they can afford and what defines "value" to them. I bet you there are people out there that are convinced that their 4-banger Evo, Sti, or even Prius are better then a BMW or like car. What is "better" is simply an opinon there for it doesnt make sense to argue that. Reliablity also is something that has to do with luck. I had 2 335i before my Porsche both had issues with fuel pump. One was actually lemon'd because of Vanos issues that BMW couldnt figure out. To me BMW was not a better value or better built because of MY experience.

Ok, so you are saying they have cars running at the 6XX level successfully, right? Now what happens when you start exceeding that? Do you want rods or not? I do, many here do, many have. That is exactly what has taken place.
Now, you believe that 50k miles at 700 AWHP is possible? I don't know, I would not have the confidence to do that with my motor from what I have seen and I don't think many others do either with how many people get aftermarket rods for "insurance."
Remember, the whole talk about how strong it is started when it was compared to the S54. No one even mentions that the compression is what holds the S54 back and even with the compression penalty it still gets right into the same range the 996tt does. No one finds that impressive? Only one person mentions the compression?

Things have changed. Fortunately for the better and I honestly believe the best development is still to come for these motors.

Much cooler dude.. I talked to him last night..Ill probably go out to where lives for the day since its 2 hours away.. Do some rolls dig and if i have we will play with Vbox..I dont really no what hp the car i ran was but i think this new is much quicker.. He said on c16 716hp so i dont know what that means on pump.. Im not out for internet fame.. Just trying to meet cool dudes and compare different cars.. Seemed to backfire this last time..

I just personally feel that alot of the people looking for insurance outside of those that have actually had to open their motors for something unrelated are doing it based on previously believed limits of the motor. The guys with over 700whp on the stock motor are pushing these cars they are testing them and they aren't failing. On car making 750whp made 6 plus runs at the texas mile ..... thats WOT for approx 25 seconds. My car at 670whp has made 7 runs at the mile in total. In addition to 50 plus laps on a road course and 15k miles of hard, spirited driving. These are just two cars. Taking a look at Powells, Scotts, Nicks, and half a dozen others these cars are getting driven hard and making reliable, safe power.
Things have changed. Fortunately for the better and I honestly believe the best development is still to come for these motors.

However, why say one more still has more to see and the other doesn't? They are both very strong, that was the whole point.
