Ran a couple bikes tonight...
Wife and I were heading home from our friend's house about 1:30 am on a local freeway. I was in the far left lane (carpool lane) and passed a group of about 4-6 very flashy and loud sport bikes. On the other side of the freeway, a stater had someone pulled over, so the bikes were taking it easy. I knew what was coming next...
Sure enough, a half-mile after we get past the cop, I see two of them HAUL *** (headlights coming up and down as they accelerated) and get right on my butt.
I tell my wife; "here we go", as one of them moves to the right lane and hits it. I hit it as well (in 3rd), and put 3 cars on him by the time we hit 150. I slow down, and then either that guy or his buddy (I couldn't tell which one) comes up on my far right (giving us a couple lanes of room), gives me a thumbs up and then drops her down a couple gears in preparation for a run. I go to third, he gets the hit, and he puts 2 bikes on me right off the bat. But by the time I'm deep into 4th, I'm 2 cars ahead or so and moving a lot quicker than he was.
I hit my brakes to show that I'm done, he gives me a final hang-loose sign and then slows down for his friends. Good sport. I'm going to search around on my local forums to hopefully find out what he was riding.
I was running 1.5 BAR on 95 octane (4 gallons 100 and 12 gallons 93). Weather was cool (mid-60's) and dry. I was probably a little over 720rwhp.
Fun stuff!

So Todd has given you the green to run 1.5 with just a touch of race gas?
Do the rods enable you or could you do it without them?
I ask because Todd said I can run 1.6-1.7 on my set up now if I am on C 16.

Sean,Todd allows cars running ms 109 to run 1.6-1.7. Why do you think you need c 16?

And in the past he was comfortable going over 1.5.

Good kills Scott!! Bikes are always fun! I got me a modded GSX-R1000 and a stock ZX10R a few weeks ago when Lil Powell and I went to dinner. The guys pulled up to the stop light after giving the thumbs up. Both of them just yelled out "What the hell is done to that thing!??!?"
Sean I run MS109 on 27.1psi peaks (highest amount of boost the EBC sees) which is what I made 868rwhp. I've seen peaks as high as 30psi (but the fcon pulls timing at 29.5psi and up) on MS109. I run C16 ONLY when it's available, but Justin said to not do it as much just so I never have to worry about o2's, etc... He said at the power level I'm at right now and even up to about 950rwhp he doesn't think C16 is really needed because we don't run crap loads of timing, etc... When I build the motor though he said we WILL be using C16 when we shoot for 1100-1200rwhp. I trust his word because well... You've met the guy and seen what he's done in the last almost 20 years so I think he knows what hes talking about. LOL!

The green light? TPC (and Todd) spent a week creating this tune exactly to my specs. I've datalogged the car relentlessly over the past week. It's turning out to the best tune I've ever had, bar none.
I plan on running 100 octane to 1.6-1.7 BAR, and either Sunoco 104 or MS109 (105 octane) to 1.8. With my tune, I need both O2 sensors working properly, so I'll never run leaded again.
As far as rods go, you don't ever want knock, regardless of what rods you're using. Thus, I'd run the exact same boost/octane with stock rods that I do now.
Yes, on C16...you can easily run 1.6 -1.7 BAR. However, it's overkill. MS109 should work as well, just like Paulie said. But before I'd do it, I'd datalog the car on that fuel at 1.5 BAR first, then 1.55, then 1.6, then 1.65, etc...
