Question about the Hydra standalone EMS

I'll go ahead and speak for White Knight: $45k could make your GT2 the fastest car in Houston... A Subaru? Did you lose a bet?
If you want a drag car, start with something like this:

Exactly. We're not bustin ***** Sean. Just trying to save you a lot headaches and money...(not that buying a drag car is a savings plan) Seriously think about it, put HALF of that $45k in your car and how fast would it be? Even if you can't drag race, it could run low 10's maybe high 9's at over 150 with a 2.0 60' !!!

Sean, I think you're going to end up with a jack of all trades and master of none if you are trying to get one car to be a semi-dd, road corse and drag car. I think the best best for having one car do all of those really well is the car you've already got, your GT2. Just my opinion........

Alright you guys...probably good advice. My offer is lowball and should be rejected, and I won't come up.
If I got it for that price I would not have to worry about parking, leaving it out in the driveway etc the way I do about the GT2 and to a lesser degree the M3.

hydra appeared in our local markets couple years ago. Mostly used on subi's, haven't heard anything bad about them. HKS VPro runs on a proprietary software so only dealers and shops with pirated software can tune. Limiting. AEM is a nice choice because of it's open platform. My tuner was trying to see if the RB26 AEM ecu would work for porsche. we didn't have much luck finding any info here though.

Hydra is one of the suggested EMS platforms for the most highly modded Subie's (bulit blocks, big turbos, 500-600+ hp) Excellent EMS from all that I've heard (I run an '05 Sti as my daily and that is what I'm switching to), even makes daily driving still doable.
Make sure you are on the Hydra 2.6 version. However, a many have stated already, Subie's at the 600+ hp levels, things are going to break at some point. I love my STi as a daily and is extremely fun to drive, but at those horsepower levels I'm happy to have a Supra to play with.
