I know 997 GT2 480-500rwhp
It made 498 bone stock. That's not low at all.

What happened is this: When they got the car from the previous owner, it already had a tune from a European company as well as a set of aftermarket headers installed. It only made 435rwhp in that configuration.

TPC then removed the aftermarker headers, re-installed stock headers and reflashed the ECU with the most updated GT2 tune from Porsche...and it made 498 rwhp. This is the baseline they are starting with.

Before you ask, no...I'm not allowed to reveal the name of the European flash that the car came with.

Well, initially I datalog as I add boost and octane (that's what I'm doing now), and the data that I get will tell me what to expect from now on.

I have a chart that I made that tells me what percentage on the EBC = what boost level, and what octane I need to use for that amount of boost.

It's a bit more complex than using some type of switcher that only gives you a few different fixed boost levels, but it allows me full control of my power...which I prefer.

I wanted this car to be able to make 'good' power on 93 and 100 (since both are easily accessible near my house) and then be able to make typical race gas power with higher octane and more boost.

The one thing I really loved (and missed) about my SC'd Z06 is that it made 700+ rwhp on the street, all the time, on 93 octane. When I got my GT2, it was tuned to run 93 to no more than .9 BAR, and it needed 104 octane or higher to run 1.5 BAR! It was very frustrating...hence, my reason for the new setup.

I also wanted to stay away from meth/water injection since I'm still paranoid (rightly or wrongly about relying on it to keep things safe.

well looks like your there. I also am still paranoid about meth(wrongly or rightly) I will go read the other stuff, but what do you think was the biggest factor in getting to this power, mods wise?

What's the compression ratio?

The biggest change from the previous setup to now is a combination of the TPC I/Cs and the many, many, many hours that Mike spent perfecting the tune.

Todd K. only made the changes to the tune that Mike asked him to, so Mike is primary "tuner" in this case.

Congrats Scott. I know what you mean about making good power on pump. I made 750 rwhp on my last setup on pump. We should have the new pump numbers soon. We went from 901rwhp to 1109awhp with the changes on race(thanks for the rec on the ICs). We will see what the new pump numbers look like.
