Will this fit... ?
I've got a Tequipment roll bar with the following info on it:
Teile NR. 996.580.980
996.701.980.00
Hersteller: 20415
Will this fit in my 02 TT? I've read you have too crush the rocker plastic panel to make the Tequip bar fit. Is this true? Do I have the right bar for the car?
Any info or install tips would be greatly appreciated.

Somebody... Anybody.... ? A 101 people have read this and no one knows? I thought you guys knew all (like the atomic weight of plutonium) Just a clue would help. Thanks.

Kneedrager, I can't help you directly but the thought just occured to me. Go to a Techquipment site on one of our Porsche Dealers and see if you can spot the part number there. Many of them carry the roll bar.
