New 997 Front Bumper - on my 996TT
#4
Im having the turn signals in the bumper wired to function and converting the turn signals in the 996 light cluster as parking/drls.
The 997 foglight was deleted for radiator clearance.
I'm still playing with some led strip ideas.
Still need to add the front grill and replace the rest of the silver stripe.

The whole thing is a bit shorter than it should have been (nice for overhang methinks?) - the 997 ligts had to be modified to clear the radiator mounting area. I dont really mind that, as 2 sets of foglights is kinda rice eh?
Yeah, it feels really sturdy. The bumper used to have a 20inch undertray that really added to structural rigidity (and nice aero under the car), but the body guys hacked it out to get it top fit.
The guys that did the work know how fast this car gets driven in mexico - so they added extra aluminum braces at the bottom.
btw - This was a 9ff 997 aero bumper.

the bodyshop did some minor trimming to the ducts...other than that..everything fits perfect.

Yeah the 997 version looks miles better than the 996 version that was on there for a couple of years. I'll dig up some pics, but the 996 version looked like an angry catfish (an ugly, angry catfish lol).
@mad ness; The front opening will be fitted with black powder coated diamond mesh. All the stuff behind will disappear.
The car presently has 3.75" of ground clearance. I actually raised the car .5" before she went under the knife as i busted a lip up in 3 days (cf aero stuck out more than the 9ff CF lip that lasted 3 years, but got ground down on one corner).
I'm stuck whether I should raise the front another .5" or drop some coin on the Cargraphic nose lift kit...decisions, decisions...
