Thanks guys.
Certainly a tough crowd.
I, too, want to see the 'Sony Vaio' edition GT-R. (That was a good one)
Time will tell if we see prices down to $45k this fall. I suspect that the ever changing standard GT-R (2012 will see a large HP increase) is going to drive the prices down - countered with limited production volume... We'll see. As I've already purchased mine to experience, not to resell, I'm not really concerned with the market, I just don't want to give people false hope of waiting a few months for a $15k decrease in price (based on the below average $60k cost now).
I think I'm going to pick up the last model year GT-R, and then turn my current '09 into a full track car.
But then again, for those of you who followed the OP on another thread (in the GT-R sub-forum), you may have noticed that I had mentioned that this car has no transmission upgrades that can get this car well over 200mph. So the OP used that as precluding criteria, and is now less convinced that he should purchase one.
I do love Porsches, that's why I joined 6speed. My wife and I want another one someday.
Certainly a tough crowd.

HAve they already talked about stopping production of this model? What year do you think that will be, that production will end?

What is special case in Supra? Don't make it sound like a Myth now. It was the only Japanese car (in US market) in last 15 years that has decent platform and good engine to mod. Too bad for Nissan at that time it did not bring GTR avialable.
Talk about movies, I guess you never watch Fast and F... And also you think Gtr won't be in any new racing movie.

Initially - 7500 cars over 5 years, averaging 1500 cars per year.
They bumped up the intial year to 2400, and spread the decrease over the next few years. MY 2011 went down to approx 315 (or so - basically a lot less), because of the major changes in MY2012.
So we expect this car to have an end of term around 2013 - which is what was stated back in '07.
I hope to pick up a '12 or '13 GT-R, and have no intention of modding it.
