Hey everyone, I have an appt this Monday for a 15k service at my local dealer here in Silver Spring MD. Does anyone know what is exactly done at a 15k service and what the approximate price would be? I am also getting an alignment (quoted $185.00) done since I just put new Pilot 2's on. Thanks everyone.

 

I think the service requirements are listed in the maitenance manual you got with the car.

There are several things on the list that you can do yourself if you want (like replaceing the pollen filter, oil change). Go over the service items with the dealer and decide just what you want done. They should adjust the price accordingly.

sealing ring
pollen filter
oil change
and check fluids
should be appx. 200-225

 

local dealer's price is 330.00 in labor hr & 165.00 in parts. the bill including tax is 510.00 area.

 

the 15k service is oil change and pollen filter.

 

I paid 375, but that was with paying cost for parts (owed me a favor) and discounted labor... SHould be between 400 and 500 (closer to 5)

They're also supposed to replace the windshield wipers, check out a long list of components, and clear the computer.

I paid $400 @ Beverly Hills, but I had to put up a fuss to get that price. They normally charge close to $600.

 

I live in your area and had mine done at Porsche of Arlington. It cost about $550.00.

 

Go to www.renntech.org. You will find a complete list of what the 15K entails plus DIY instructions. Most of it is componentry inspection. I bought the oil at Advanced Auto Parts for $5 per, got the oil filter, o-rings and filter removal tool from Sunset Porsche. Took me about 30 minutes and saved about $250. A set of ramps are very helpful. Get intimate with your baby and do it yourself.
