The moral of the story...

a pat on the back is in order. If it was Becks Dark, you wouldnt have forgotten the towels, LOL.
Bet you wont do that again, though.
Anyway, I use the protective covers off of the intercoolers , and the protective caps that come off new turbos for the purpose of capping stuff off. Oh well theres next time...The dealer charges 700.00 for changing spark plugs? wow, I dont charge enough then, ha. I do plugs, and an oil change plus brake bleed for 700.00, just changing the plugs is around 475.00

It was St Pauli Girl, and we only had one each.

Good thing my wife buys Brawny paper towels, they'te tough enough not to tear apart. Lesser paper towels would have grenaded farther into the engine

I think that the dealers here in Atlanta charge ~6hrs of shop time @ $98 hr? + plugs ($50-60) + tax.

Agreed, definitely working late hours will cause more frustration and mistake than needed. Starting a job in morning is more enjoyable and relaxing.

Those rather just pay to get the job done will always take the easy way out. You won't know how to do anything with your hands and prefer not to.

When fixing the car, there are times I just don't know what to do and look for the forum for support. Forums like this are safety net that saves us when we make mistakes or lack the knowledge. I think we should all post more technical information rather than trivial stuff.

My Dad advised me to marry a girl with small hands. Maybe my wife will change the plugs for me.
