What did RUF do with main 996TT Exhaust Cannisters ?
Ok so on my OEM TT exhaust I have my 400 rear cats drilled out and my front 200 cells cats replaced by 100 cell race cats but my question what exactly did RUF do with the main exhaust cannisters ? as drilling the straight through bypass (attached pic) didn't sound too fab. Comments + photos welcome. Has anybody ever connected the two exhaust cannisters ?

I have one sitting on a shelf. Given the weight and sound quality, there's no way they simply removed all of the baffles. I can tell you with certaintly that they removed the secondary cats, and modified the outlets (two per side vs. one). Beyond that, who knows? I doubt anyone is going to cut one up to find out! I'm not a huge fan of their massively overpriced stuff, but they do have a history of doing things the right way. They likely worked with the OE manufacturer and came up with their own baffle design. My car came with the RUF exhaust on it. While it was too quiet for my taste and does not offer the option of running catless, for a true street car it probably has the best combination of flow with no (as in zero) drone and aggressive sound at WOT.
