Even if the car was worth 300k or 30k, Im just thinking of the abuse it will take on the roads here... an Audi would be just easier to drive and deal with the roads, weather, parking etc, so much better... but as you guys pointed out... I know I would miss my 996tt after the audi newness wears off... it was just a thought...

just pay attention when you drive, most of my cars are only ever driven around LI, my M3 which is most likely lower than your 996tt has been everywhere in the Northeast. That being said if you want a less enjoyable drive, but a more carefree experience, then go with the audi.

Well if you are really worried about hitting the body on potholes just change your username to bocabronco and be done with it!

Keep the car man, it is gorgeous, you will definitely regret trading it for a lesser vehicle.

I hear that. My 2 year old daughter comes with me everywhere I go with the 996.. My problem is that my 6mo. old is in the backwards facing seat that cannibalizes the useable space on the passenger side. I have both rear seats doing child duty.

Although it works fine, it's not ideal if we are going anywhere with all 4 seats occupied.

I can understand the TA bumper being an issue...maybe consider swapping for something else? Everything else I think is fine for daily...

S5 is just OK imo, nevermind the A5...

I'd consider a E90/E92 M3 for a good daily that you don't need to worry about...

PorscheSocieta is infamous around these parts
definitely drive it like its any other car first. the a5/s5 seems like a lot of hype with LEDs to me. if u were to consider getting rid of your Turbo there are much better replacements to consider. u can get much more car for your money at those price points. i would regret getting rid of it for an a5/s5 but then again u have a need to drive an every day car. its a tough decision

Not to mention the S5 comes with 19's. It will be just as bad with the pot holes. Drive your TT and worry less about it.
