Hey, you guys are all big boys, buy what you want. After owning Porsches most of my life, with some BMW M variations thrown in, I bought a 2004 Modena a year ago and have to say, all things considered, it is the best car I have ever owned. The build quality is at least equal to Porsche, maybe better, the intensity of the driving experience on the road and at the track is superior to Porsche, the reliability has been impeccable, and the dealer (Ferrari of San Francisco) has been superb to deal with. It's not a daily driver, which will open it to some criticism I suppose, but neither was my Turbo Carrera or any other of my Porsches. I've put a little over 6k miles on the car, including about 1k at the track.

But like I said, if only Porsche will work for you, I'm not trying to change your mind, just relating my experience.

1)Food
2)Women
3)Wine
4)Parties
5)Life
6)Making nice looking cars that don't move much
7)Football
8)Clothes (should be higher I know)
9)Corruption in legal, goverment and financial institutions
10)Mafia of course, although the Russians are better nowadays

Things Italians are **** at

1)Making reliable cars
2)Wars
3)Flying any kind of warplane during the 1st gulf war
4)Politics
5)Feigning injury on the football pitch
6)Obeying traffic laws (trust me I lived in Bergamo/Milano for 3 months of every year from age 8-17.
7)Dealing with their neighbors

I could go on but there's no point. I love Italians and have some in me myself (adopted if you will) and I even want them to win the World Cup every four years (after England gets knocked out).

I'm sorry to say that what all the guys on ferrarichat say about many porsche owners is true. i try to chat on this website and defend porsche owners when possible. but after hearing these immature statements about ferrari are bullsh-t. to put down ferrari like this is quite immature and unjustified. i guess it's true what many ferrari owners say about porsche owners- they are just envious and ferrari-wannabes. I'm done with 6speed.....
