Another: Know this Car?
Pursuing my first P-car. Wondering if anyone has some input. Thanks.

Looks nice, love the red. Get a PPI! Price feels high. I paid less than that for an 04 X50 Cab Tip, but with high miles, 18 months ago.
Should be able to negotiate.
Did I say I love the red?

While I have complete confidence in RUF (RAC), I would be wary of Ecarlink. Don't have anything specific other than my own limited exposure to them, but I was not impressed with either the owner or the cars that I drove. I could be wrong but take extra care. Price seems high to me.

18 months ago was when the stock market and every other market was at it's all time low. Prices have definitely come up.

I looked with Ecarlink before, I too was not impressed with the owner.
just get a PPI, verify everything.

Your PPI should include the entire Porsche CPO checklist, PLUS a dump of the DME for codes and over-rev data...and maybe compression/leakdown if it looks like it was flogged at all.
Seems a tad high for a 2003... if pristine, no stories, full records... might command something more than market.
Be careful... sounds like you might get screwed by two dealer on this deal, eh?

the price is high ..... i would let them know that the supple leather is less desirable than sports seats and cut the price accordingly. i would offer them between 45 to 49. nice car ........ and im really liking the red

I could try bargaining with my dealer, but not sure what my leverage is (not knowing how much they are paying+shipping to get it here).
Open to creative thinking though.

I don't think the price is high if you happen to want the GT2 decklid and those wheels and would get those items later on if you bought a Turbo without them.
I paid $49k for my '01 3 months ago. That's when many on the board think an '01 should be selling in the very low $40k range. But the car I picked up has the factory aerokit, full CF interior, 19 inch wheels, exhaust, flash, sound system, coilovers, etc. Things I would do if I were to buy a car without. However, if I were to get a bare bones '01 for $40k, it would easily cost a lot more than $9k to replicate the options/mods on my car. So to me, the car was a good deal.
