Hehe, I should clarify. From looking at the forum many people spoke highly of http://www.caraudioinnovations.com/. They happe to be within a couple of hours from me and Rod has been a huge help on answering questions. The local shops I talked to didn't quite seem to have the same Porsche expertise.

I do not have a mod/garage type shop yet, as I will likely wait for CPO expiration before doing that stuff.

I have always used the V1 but am considring the Beltronics...it is also $150 cheaper.

i like how the v1 is black, it tends to blend in more with the car and be less noticeable, in my experiences anyway

V1 and a little common sense has keep me ticket free for years. Love the arrows. Was considering one of the front and rear laser units. It seems that on the open roads the highway patrol uses radar and the laser units seem to be used mostly in the city.

Bought one of the 30 day return V1's a few minutes ago...can't wait!!

The rear window in a cab is a bit smaller and lower than on the coupes. Any mounting precautions I should take? I'm hoping I can mount above and to the left of the rear view mirror.

Thanks!

I did a bit more research....Radar Roy sells the Beltronics, and not the V1....I decided on V1 on all my cars and am also in the process of putting in a Laser Interceptor jammer.

One jammer is in my C63 and upon testing today, it successfully jammed 12 out of 14 times.

Uh, both. Radar is MUCH more common- specifically Ka band from CHP. Moving and stationary.

But I've seen them set up with laser on the San Mateo Bridge (in those 'pull out' areas eastbound!!) on 580, on 205, on 50 in Sacto...
