You may be just on the fence with just the turbo upgrade of getting there but to get optimal results you will also need to do the following.
If you are currently a K16 car you wil definitely have to upgrade the intercoolers and while you are at that you may as well upgrade the intakes.
Defintely have to put in a 5 bar FPR OR bigger injectors (ie 72lb or higher)
A new tune to dial everything in.
New or different gapped spark plugs.
You may want to send a PM to Todd Nall as well regarding any necessary tip items he upgraded for this power range. I think he had to beef up a torque converter.
Bare in mind these upgrades on a tip seem to take a tougher toll on the tiptronic cars.
Hopefully if I missed anything others will chime in.

This is not for my car is for a friend of mine who has a '01 996tt tip.
Thanks Ari!

You can get 550whp in a Tip on a Dyno Jet with the following (this is what I had):
At 1.45 bar on MS109. K16/16g turbos, AP headers, straight pipes, extra fuel Bosch 044 pump, 60lb injectors, Greddy EBC, AP 3" intercooler piping and intake plenum upgrade, AP boost hose upgrade, AP diverter valves, Softronic Flash, AP intercoolers, Big Mouth plenum, and Cayenne Throttle Body.

18gs with a 1 bar WGs spring... a good exhaust with no more then 100 cell count...
5 bar, dvs, filter, a EBC and a custom tune for 100 or 104 octane... that will be very close to your target... but to do it right you need good ICs, injectors, then you can run pump gas at 1.3 bar... .. we have seen 600 rwhp on our such set ups... put in a tad of race gas and the car wakes up even more... change the intake from the airbox to the turbos and you get some more.. on and on... if you are looking for a peak dyno number you can pull it off just with a 5 bar ... on race gas and turn it up... but that will not be efficient... but in the dyno numbers game anything is possible lol ... when you want to do it right there are a few of us that can help..
