Good to know its running well.

My cars off the road at the moment, I have the MKB tip sitting waiting to be fitted, having large inlet system, larger injectors, K16 billet turbos, 3 1/2 IC's and a Tod K tune along with the other supporting mods I already have.
Don't ask how much that little lot cost, I wonder sometime if I was born with a part of my brain missing.
Should make a big difference to power output anyway .

 

fellow tip owners with custom exhausts... do you have drone in the exaust around 2000 2500 rpm with your aftermarket exhausts? would love to find one that has no drone...

 

Fabspeed have mufflers "tuned" for the TIP as a separate item. Also for Cabs.

 

Not sure how to add to the list above about mods on TIP cars so here goes:
2004 TT Cab with Tip
Mods: Evoms/Fabspeed exhaust, manifolds, diverters and cats; BBS RS-GT wheels; ECU and TCU "flashed"; Hitachi mass air flow; Bilstein PSS 10's; GT2/3 (Yellow calipers) with Iron rotors; Recaro "Sport" seats, RAID carbon steering wheel with paddle shifing

 

That's the quiet version that I have on my car. Have no complain.

What are your experiences of the RAID paddle shift wheel, is it one paddle for up and the other for down shift as apposed to the operation of the buttons on the wheel??

It is coincidental that I was looking at the FVD paddle shift wheel today(again). How much is the RAID wheel? and where can I look at them (link)?

Yes, the left paddle is downshift and the right upshift.
Shift is as fast as with Tip shift buttons with less fiddling.
Quality of the wheel is excellent. You cannot tell it's not the identical CF look as the CF in the car. It comes with the Airbag. In leather/carbon including Tip shifting cost is about Euro 2,000.

 

Oops forgot to mention. Go to Gert Carnewal's site (google Carnewal) He's in Belgium and gives fantastic service and response.

Besides, I have owned the TT for few months now, but I still not handle too well on kicking it in the fastest pattern on the gearbox. Can anyone tell more details on the action I have to do? I saw some posts saying press it twice as fast as you can...
