Ha, I wish. That was on my 18g turbos, the only time I ever ran them in the quarter mile.

This was not directed to anyone with a physical ailment. This was all about Sharky back in the early days of this forum and he was perfectly healthy.
And it was all done in a fun joking manner.

Anyone else got times to add? Dyno?

(please post RWD or AWD and type of dyno)

Will anyone that has info/leads on transmission upgrades (I am just really aware of torque converter upgrades) post them up as well.

Thanks!

Anyone know if the TCU upgrade be done with a stock redline and shift points? I'd be interested in the quicker shifting.

I did the TCU tune from EVOMS and seem to be the only person having my redline being increased...I am still working on things with EVOMS.

I know VividRacingTX also had it done.

My view is that it helps a lot more if you have larger turbos (to take advantage of the increased redline)

Hi,

Personally, I think form experience with my car, Dyno figures for a Tip are not that accurate. The TC does not lock fully hence the powere reading is always lower than it should be. "Weltmeister" at Silverstone race track (UK) said its about 7% loss for slippage plus the normal Tip transmission losses.
I had my car a few times on the roller. pre tune was 390bhp & post tune ( Revo Stage 1) 447 bhp. The Dyno reads SBHP which is an assimilated Crank Power. Worked out by a program from the run down losses etc.
Then a Stage 2 program to make it 478 SBHP then a Miltek 100 cell Motor Sport Cat & Exhaust plus 20 bhp( estimated). Total 498 SBHP. The next bit can not be shown on a Dyno, but I have been assured that you have to add another 7% for the TC lock up losses which if we collect numbers gives 533 SBHP.
The thing that really matters is the before and after.
Before 390 SBHP after 498 SBHP. Perhaps it would have been better if the dyno gave wheel bhp as that is more to the point but..... most people just number collect. They want to see the biggest BHP figure possible so I guess the Dyno people give the larger number which is a computer estimate of Crank HP.
To show just how much slippage there is my pre tune figure is 390 SBHP this figure should be according to the hand book 420BHP thats 7.6 % difference. On a car which was only 3 years old at the time with less than 20,000 miles . So its not a worn out engine!
So my conclusion is a tip on a Dyno is only any good to give a before and after figure. Which, unless you have access to a race track and decent timing gear its about the only real legal way of testing/ checking the power of your car. 60-130 are all well and good and I'm sure the Police will love to check figures with you especially your speed readings LOL.
Frank
