Who's done the Stud Conversion on their 996TT?
I've been looking to do the Stud Conversion on the 996TT. I've done it before on my M3 and it was so convenient. Anyone on here done it?
From what I could dig up the conversion of choice seems to be the RennLine and I need 14 x 1.5. Recommended length 65mm or 80mm in case I decide to use spacers or need them. And I should get ball seat nuts for Porsche application.
Anyone familiar with the "Bullet Nose" studs? Seems like a better choice over standard studs except that there will be a little extra sticking out.
Appreciate any help

Contact Joe at Napleton Porsche, Westmont, IL. They design and make they're own bullet nose 14X1.5 stude for the Cayman Interseries cars. High quality steel and made in the USA. They also have the open end steel lug nuts as well. They're a little spendy, but again a high quality product with full certs.

If you don't want the Darth Vader look of long studs then RUF makes a stud conversion kit the uses feather light black magnesium closed end lug nuts that makes the wheel face look very clean. The studs are not very long as they are 45mm total length with about 30mm sticking out past the brake hub face. The studs utilize a nice shoulder which makes the studs seat well against the hub face as you screw them in with red locktite using the 5mm hex opening in the stud tip. These studs are designed to be used without spacers as they are not long enough for spacers. RUF does make a 7mm hub centric spacer which comes with a set of longer studs. That's what I have on my Rturbo in the picture below. I've never had any issues with this kit.

I believe they rust if you don't. I also think there was an issue with a number of these snapping on Rennlist in the GT3/GT3 section. Bad batch maybe?
