Am I missing something here?

What could be the reason for needing to switch to studs?

If somebody can't change their wheels just because they've got bolts rather than studs, should they really be allowed to drive?

What do you mean about the offsets?

well it makes life easier when studs are in the hub rather then messing around to try to get the wheel on. As far as offsets well if you go into a big offset like 20+ or 30 etc you dont have to get new studs every time cuz your race studs will be long enough already Like I said I love mine.

Exactly. They are GREAT on a race car, when your managing a series of usage for 3 or more sets of wheels, and a wet setup (or intermediates or what have you)...a long wheel stud is the only way to go, multiple changes and adj track width spacing etc is a breeze...

on a street car they are not really neccesary

I have my wheels off constantly so the bolt to stud conversion made a lot of sense for me. In fact, every time I drive the car I remove the wheels for cleaning inside and out a long with all the suspension components.

I used the Apex Track-Studs and nuts. Installed them per the instructions.
I think this is a great upgrade and looks cool to.

Another reason: I am thinking of replacing all of my lugbolts due to frequent wheel changing for DEs. You can buy a compete set of studs and nuts for less than the bolts!

Just installed mine from Apex a few weeks ago. Already had the wheels on and off a few times and they seem to hold up great, no complaints here and much better than silly bolts..
