Need advice on 996tt purchase

LOL I almost did that for ability to post in Classifieds. Hope this doesn't get you some quality time-out. I'd rather 10 quality posts than 100 trashy ones; but I didn't make the rules and there are legit reasons for them.

Also, I would rather have a car that works well mechanically with a few correctable blemishes than a car that has original paint and has all the regular 996tt issues. Of course, it would be great to have both, but as some members can attest, choosing the perfect one might take awhile.

Hey there, am350z,
been thinking about your situation. since you are in houston, I found a nice one on CL.

Also, go to the shop that you will have work on your car. the folks there will have the inside line on any cars for sale that will be in excellent mechanical condition.
they will know a car is for sale before anyone else will.
just looking out for a member of "the community" so you dont suffer the same fate as me!
the good news is that whoever gets my car after me willl get a ROCKIN deal!

yeah, saw that on cl. looks nice. Is 55k miles too much. Another member here as an 03 with 19k miles for sale but not x50 which looks really nice. I am inclined to buy from a member here but it he would like 16k more.

FYI: I'm also in Houston and recently bought my 2001 996 TT: Seal Grey, 19k miles, 6-speed, bone-stock, no paintwork for $42k. Akram at www.mwhouston.com did the PPI for me. Email me at raj@lamborghinihouston.com if you wanna talk ...

Don't u be thinking about sellin don't make me drag up here in Alabama to kick yer *** Frankster yer a big boy but those are fighting werds ;-)
Sorry to upset ya, brother, I am TOO FAR INVESTED in this car to consider selling her, ANYTIME, SOON!
Between those HAND-BUILT protomotive turbos, the custom BBi exhaust, and that ROCKIN "cup-car" transmission, not to mention all the TLC that Akram has showered on this car, there is NO AMOUNT OF MONEY that could justify selling her.
I am well aware of just how special this beauty is, and I intend to enjoy every minute of my time with her!
I honestly believe this is an heirloom quality car that should be passed on to the next generation to enjoy . . . provided society will still be driving gasoline-powered cars, by then!
Besides, we have plenty of 60-130 events and track days to cross swords over, my friend!
