Fun Day At Alices Restaurant.. TURBOS Galore
Met up with a few of the local Bay Area Turbo owners, including Tony (997Express), Enrique (F1crazydriver), Michael (Porka) and my friend Mike that brought his Porsche 930 with a newly rebuilt engine..
We all swapped Cars and I got to drive Enrique's Car and I ws really impressed by it.. we have almost identical settings for our geometry, he has RUF springs, GT2 ride height etc.. drove really nice and handled WAAAAAAY better than any of the stock 996 TT's I have driven before.. I drove Michael's stock TT and it was night and day.. Michael is sure to go down the path that Enrique has...
Tony's white X50 TT was looking really sharp as usual and my friend Mike's 930 was stunning..
We did a nice loop from Alices Restaurant down Hwy 84 to La Honda, then left on Pescadero then a quick blast up to triple digits on my favorite secret road that's 5 miles of fantastic, fun high speed corners and straights.. then back up the coast to 84 and up the hill to Alices again.
Thanks for coming guys, it was a BLAST!!!

We still haven't met each other in person yet Alex... Are the English really that scared of the Scots? No need to worry though, because Michael (Porka) is English like you, so you two can swap crumpet recipes and discuss what flavors of tea you like best.. maybe swap some marmite hints and tips..
You really should come on one of these drives with us.. We like GT3's, really we do...
Cheers, lad... Graham

Enrique's 911 tt doesnt feel anything like a stock 911 tt. He definitely took the time to make sure his mods work well together.

Looks like a great ride, maybe we can add this route in the PaloAlto meet in a few weeks. Looking forward to taking mine out and meeting with you guys. I still have stock suspension but looking forward to changing that next. Is Enrique's setup cheaper than the pss10 route?

my alignment over the last 4 years, and thats what gives my car the finesse. The car is almost perfect where I want it. Almost. I'm going to install the KW Club Sports( I started tonight) . We will see if that gives me the extra bit i'm looking for. Finding a perfect setup is key, and will be difficult- BUT i really do think when I get it right. Thill times will be about 1:53's and Laguna Seca 1:32's
The drive was fun- and a bit crazy as usual! I think we all should have a track meet instead of parking lot pimping. Gt2 = sideways action !

I can go on about mysetup but I'm on ruff springs only but- theirs much more to it. Alignment is soooo crucial on these cars, I cannot express how crucial it is. I have worked on

Will your better handling alignment wear the tires out faster?
