You could always start with the color YOU prefer and re-paint when you get bored..

 

I prefer silver. Then again I'm bias as I only like black wheels on black cars. Nice Porsche.

 

I've had both sets on. Can't really decide which I prefer. I like the race look of the black rims but the clean look of the silver. I've been leaning towards the silver.

When i see black wheels with the polished outer, this is all I can think of:

 

Silver - black removes the detail that is more visible with the silver.

 

That's pretty funny. But let's be fair to the any trans-am owners looking for visuals. It looks better like that than like this...

The black is nice. I think it's too hard of a contrast and everyone seems to have black on white. I was also never a big fan with rims that had the rivet design on the outside.
The silver looks classy on white. I plan on doing bronze centers with brushed lips on my Champions RS98's.

 

Unless your car is a black civic.

Silver is the new "fad" if you care about that stuff.
I've always liked a dark gunmetal on white cars personally.
Also an all black wheel with no polished lip looks very aggressive on a lighter body.





I also find that gold\bronze can look really good when the correct shade is chosen and done right.

 

I like all black without the polished lip. But lets face it, a white P-car would look good with **** brown wheels too.

 

Paint the lip black on the silvers. Problem solved.
