no he was jumping look at the vid again , he goes before they are lined up side by side,

 

he was jumping and he started slightly ahead. locally we call that the vette flyby, they like a couple of feet, the jump or they like to be moving faster than you when it starts.

once you move into hybrid turbos with good tuning and exhaust, the turbo should win.

funny thing is the cars were dead even in acceleration. They stayed exactly where they started.

 

You should probably go ZR1 hunting instead.

The Z06 intrigues me so much....I tought about selling the TT for a Z06 many times...The only thing that holds me back is the cost of these cars here..and the lack of good service shops. But sooner or later a corvette will be in the garage, that's for sure.

I remember that one of the week point of the z06 is the 5-6 gear or I am confusing it?

 

The shifter feels clunky, not smooth like the porsche and the clutch feels very nonlinear to me. I did not like it coming from the porsche, but if I had not driven a porsche it would probably feel fine. spoiled i guess.

 

The stock transmission in the Z06 is close-ratio from 1st to 4th, but 5th and 6th are extremely tall. So, if you are running a close race with another car through the first 4 gears, once you shift to 5th in the Z, the other car wil typically pass you at that time (unless you are racing another Z06).
