The LM:s look surprisingly good on the G as well. Would have never imagined so. Universally good looking, classic wheel.

You can't go wrong with either, I'd personally go with LMs. The nice thing about the CH-R is you can get the black versions with pinstripe or just silver, both are nice. What color is your Turbo?

I agree with Damon on this one - LM-R's.

LM-Rs are nice but the 19x11s are narrow body offsets so they would need big spacers to work. CH-Rs are 19x12 which on a 996 with 315/25/19 = slightly stretched tires. They work better on 997s IMO. LMs come in 19x11 with 50mm offset which is the best fit for 996 Turbo. Could still use some spacers though

I also agree you should sell that set of LMs and then make your decision. I prefer the CH-R on the 996TT, but just wish it came in an 18 inch size.

I like how the CH-R's 19" look, and if I will replace my stock rims that's probably the ones I would choose. Too bad they don't make them in white.

I have CH-R now in black.
They are a nice wheel, but with 315/25 the tire really is a bit stretched on the 12" rim.

I think I will go with the LM:s for next summer and the 11x19 rears.
How much of a spacer should I use with the rears ? 15mm ?

Ellll Emmmz for the win.

Here is what I would do...

1. Put 15-18mm spacers on the rear wheels and that will make them sit nice.
2. Get different lips for them to make them 11 or 12" wide. Bigger lips will give them a nice deep look and they will also not cost you more then 800-1000 for the pair.

Good luck

I'm putting LM's on my GT Silver Turbo S next week and can't wait!! I was thinking of going with LM-R's but just couldn't get past the timeless and clean look of the LM's..this will be my second set of LM's (first was on my E39 M5) and my brother has them on his E46 M3!

LM,s.. Get two new barrels that will move the tires out or use spacers to move the wheel out to fill in the wheel well. My .02

It's tough between LM and LM-R. I'd have to see em on the car in question but without visual LM-R. Lots of LMs around.
