How long did you wait to find a matching marrow?

We searched for over 2.5 years. I had 8 chemo treatments from 2005 to present. Then had to go to transplant. I had tuumors in my stomach that were 35cm large.

My Bone Marrow procedure came with a 40% mortality rate. Most do not make it out of the hospital and to spend 100 days in the hospital post transplant is the norm. I got out in 22 days. My bone marrow match came from Italy (no US matches for me).

Hopefully someone on the forum knows the Viper I ran Sunday.

I know your car is fast and you can drive too (that's no question); the transplant and recovering story is more interesting... hang in there man.
