smallest set of turbos to make 1khp

My GT3076s were maxed out at 830rwhp at 1.4 BAR. When I turned up the boost, they made more torque, but not anymore HP.

I then went to 35s and made 889rwhp at 1.6 BAR, and ran a 4.67 60-130. Never got a chance to go to the track with the 35s.
30's can be very, very fast; but I don't believe they will make 1k HP.

3.6 with headwork and cams. Made 830rwhp at 1.4 BAR, ran 4.90 60-130 and trapped 148.

why did you stop at 1.6 bar run out of injector?>
i guess at this power level is where the 3.6 and 3.8 really seperate there power levels

No, my injectors were good for well over 1,000 rwhp. But this was back before we knew we could run the boost we are running today, and also before tuners were installing larger headstuds.
But knowing what I know now, if I had my car back in my hands right now, as it currently sits even without having the monster headstuds...I'd feel safe turning to boost up to 1.9 BAR on C16.
There is actually very little difference between 3.6 and 3.8 power levels at the same boost:
-My car at 3.6 with ported/polished stock heads = 889 rwhp at 1.6 BAR
-My buddies car at 3.8 with $10k McKenzie heads and different cam profiles = 914 rwhp at 1.55 BAR
How much of the difference is from the heads? How about from the cams? I really don't believe going to 3.8 does much at all.

what was the torque difference though ive heard thats the major difference

I think so, but I also think he's making significantly more than 717 rwhp (in order to trap 146). But he won't admit it.

My 3.6 - 889/776: torque = 87% of peak HP
Peter's 3.8 - 914/809: torque = 88% of peak HP
Again, that's with 3.8 plus much better flowing heads and different cam profiles.
