FYI: Ruf Rt12
Sent a request to Ruf about the new Rt12 and got a very nice letter from Claudia Mueller thanking me for my interest along with some information on the car. The fully loaded, 650HP model with every option is 248,000 Euro or $340K.

Interestingly I just got a call from Estonia Ruf offering her assistance on my enquiry. I don't know about you guys but that's pretty damned good customer service.

Yes, Porsche NA and their dealerships could use a lesson from Ruf in customer service satisfaction...Guess you have got to pay to play, unfortunatley...

I have to chime in and second (or third) the oft mentioned accolades re Ruf. I think many companies (not just Porsche) could learn alot from Ruf when it comes to building a loyal customer base. That applies to Weissach Performance Ltd. (the Ruf dealer in Vancouver, British Columbia) as well. I have no experience with the new dealership in Dallas so I cannot comment on them.

.....and the U.S. Ruf dealer is run by some very knowledgeable folks....they sold their first RT12 (650 hp version) the other day. The buyer was a former RUF owner considering a CGT but went for the RT12 for the peace of mind i.e. potential repair costs and potential time out of service should something happen to the car.

Your friend should consider the orange Ruf RGT they have at the RUF showroom in Dallas....I think the price is right around 200k. It looks absolutely AMAZING in person.....400 hp and approx 2,800 pounds, most of the body parts are carbon fiber.
Talk to Hans and let him know Matt referred you, and I'm sure he'll make a great deal on it!

Greyghost (Britt?),
The 248,000 euros is without the Integrated Rollcage, I assume, which is 19,000 euros extra. After I sat in the RT12 at Essen, I priced up my desired version (650bhp, 4wd with IRC) and it came to about 268,000 euros which with the 17.5% sales tax here in England resulted in it being 217,000 pounds or the equivalent of about 420,000 US Dollars. I have therefore not yet ordered one, though I might wait for my 997TT to materialise then do a conversion on that.
If you speak to either Estonia or Claudia again, say hi from Guy in England. By the way they are both as charming when you meet them as they are on the phone.
No-one has ever regretted going with Ruf - they are absolutely first class.

PS Here's a photo I took at Essen to whet your appetite.....
