Richard has a set of AWE intercoolers. Both AWE and EVOMS use a slip on hose for their end tank instead of the factory clip in style like we do on our Agency Power ones. The diameter reported by Richard was 2.375 which is larger then the 2.25in of the stock style on. So what we had to do, never seeing these intercoolers, is build a piece with the same orientation as our normally supplied part with a proper size coupler. That is why there is an extra piece of aluminum.

Sometimes trying to make unique applications work based on client's feed back is not as easy as it sounds... one must think outside the box....
good job.

in my opinion , and past experience , sometimes its not to mix match parts from different tuners....i would pick ONE tuners setup and stick with it.

This has nothing to do with a tuner. A tuner is someone who tunes vehicles. This is a bolt on application in which the customer is using a similar part. The basic difference can be adjusted or fixed by any competent shop.

Can someone explain how this mod alone will help ?

Should I assume a larger Throttle Body is being installed as well ? What other supporting mods are required to see a benefit from changing the Y Pipe ?

Thanks.

I noticed there was some talk about fitment in this thread,

Have there been any adjustments to the design to provide better fitment ? Maybe this is not a DIY type of job ?

Power claims appear to be fairly impressive.

Actually the fitment is perfect. These are all built off a jig the same. We guarantee our fitment and finish on all our Agency Power products. If not, we will replace it. The reason we have PCars is to build, design, and test. If there is ever a issue, we want to know why. This product however has no issues.

I can tell you on my car , my large throttle body actually hurt my power and torque figures going back to the stocker.

Getting rid of kinks in the system helps with overall efficiency and flow.. like those at the stock IC connections...

The idea is to reduce pressure loss (pumping losses) along the intake path. The reason I asked about the "cheater" bends (where the bends don't join smoothly) is because they can introduce substantial pressure loss, usually moreso (a lot) than a slightly smaller diameter section with a smooth radius. Understand there are packaging issues, so sometimes its necessary.

Plus 1! For me I will move or cut something out of my way. Some info off the top of my head, A 2 1/2 welded elbow has the same resistance to flow as a 6 ft strait piece of 2 1/2 pipe. Now that's for water, but air is still a fluid.
