Word's Fastest Accelerating Porsche; 9FF ?
Does anybody know about this competition in Germany, recently ?
0-300 kph-0
9FF website claims 15.9 seconds in their BT1000 (Holy Moly !)
If this is actual, then this will be hard to beat !
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CORRECTION: Car went 0-300 in 15.9 seconds and then back to zero in a total of 24.5 seconds !!

I'm confused. According to this Sportauto test last month it went 0-300-0 in 24.5 seconds. The 0-300 time was 17.3 and braking from 300-0 took an additional 7.2 seconds.
For it to go 0-300 and back to 0 in 15.9, it would require a 0-300 time of 8 seconds or so. 15.9 is complete BS.
Comparing the 0-200 and 0-300 time of the 9ff to some other cars on this forum; of fthe top of my head I'd say Joe's, Kevin's, Tom's, Art's, Mark's, Bryant's, Peter's, Chris', Sledgehammer, Keith's and my old car all accelerate faster. Might be a few others as well.

SPI and Proto already ran 100-200kmh in 3's
I know a guy from overeas w/GT kit ran 200-280kmh in 8.0sec on 86F with 2 passenger ( i have his vbox ).
Scott...I have ran from 140-280kmh vbox file...let me know if fu want take a look

Maybe 0-300 in 15.9, which would be most impressive though not record-breaking. But not 0-300-0, unless its brakes are unreal or the car shed a couple thousand pounds in weight reduction...the Sport Auto results seem similar to a Veyron's, which seems reasonable given the comparable power outputs of the two (i realize acceleration depends on lot more than peak power). Regarding 17.3 to 15.9, it's plausible that 9ff improved either their launch technique (or with some driving technique navigated around the lag in lower gears), made some power upgrades, or shed weight since the Sport Auto test. Launch is a highly variable factor, which makes 0-XXX tests a bit opaque. I think 9ff just quoted the number out of context - 0-300 was probably 15.9, and this was data taken from an event which actually tested 0-300-0 (results of which 9ff did not quote in their ad). For nil to 186 back to nil in 15.9, this thing must be a "9ff BT2000."

The best car (The 9FF Porsche actually recorded this in 24.5 seconds,
not what there website says)
You guys may want to watch this test put on by Sport Auto Magazine
at the High Speed test track at Papenburg, Germany
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIecF...eature=related
Measured 0 to 300 kph and then back to 0.
Alot of very technical people were present from Dunlop, various tuners, etc.
Cool test actually

Just based on mile numbers alone we've got at least a handful of cars on this board that can out accelerate that car. Wasn't Joe's number something ridiculous like 14.4 on the 0-300 number.

yes, but can those cars brake as hard as well? That 24.5 seconds was the total for acceleration and stop. Who here has done both? I am sure we have several cars that can do near that time or better, but what about the stopping portion?

ive had my fair share of oh **** moments not stopping in time msot of them involve dirt and a motorcycle chasing me though but my turn doing donuts in the grass ina p car is inevitable.
