I went through 3 rear sets of R888's... 335's on my GT2. IMO? Too big for a 12" wheel, even though on paper it says it works, and well yes it does fit, the way the tire is constructed (wider than avg and with a blocky sidewall) the rear end becomes a bit too mushy/soft for my liking. IMO? You lose performance with the setup, as back to back with 315 Nitto NT01's (basically same tire) I was faster, was able to place the car better (rotation wise) and more confidence.

I don't run 335's anymore, and I have just as much grip with a more precise feel, less wallow from the soft sidewalls that tend to rollover a bit too much . Just some food for thought! But this is strictly my experience on the track. For the street? By all means!

If you are running road courses, I hate to say it, but you are going to wrong way with this mod. I see in your sig you have a set of JIC coilovers...but no mention of a set of proper sway bars. It's a common misconception, but proper sway bars play a FAR great role in producing cornering grip as well as making the car more planted and confident while doing so. With the chassis properly setup, you'll be able to cut your lap times with tires that are OEM size.
WOW just reading this.. SPOT ON ADVICE! My impressions as well, i've been through setups top to bottom suspension/component wise and then with different tires.

Thanks for your comments illm3! I do not plan on tracking this car anymore with the new power setup. This is for street only. I also have an H&R rear sway for the record. I might try some 315s when these are done and see which I like better.

No problem. IMO then, you are fine. On the street you will have no issue what so ever, mine were fine on the street and those tires have tons of grip. My car was hardly able to spin unless the tires were a little cold or it was cold out, monster grip and take no time to heat up either, they are always grippy!
