CMS says...

Our shifter assembly, like the factory one, does not have a gate or stops as the transaxles design does not require the shifter to do any of that. It’s not really possible to effectively damage the forks by overthrowing them (with any shifter) as there are limiting factors based on the transaxles design to keep that from happening. It could be dangerous to limit travel in the shifter and common problems are typically associated with the gearbox not going all the way into gear anyway. It’s a good question but there are no worries.
