What a great car. Looks beautiful in red too. Too bad it does not have the rasp sound of the 55 engine!

hmm, those #s don't seem that impressive, beyond the 0-200 maybe.
that's the point. the 65 is so badly traction limited that it performs in line with the 55 unlessl you are either rolling or well above those speeds. adding more power via ECU upgrades will not only ruin the tranny as per MB (it can't take any more torque), but will also further hinder any perforrmance measure which starts from a dead stop.

The 65 will easily pull away from the 55 from a dead stop or any speed. The 65 has been tested repeatedly and is always in the 11s. Treynor ran those times when he was bone stock as well. The 55 has never been faster than mid to low 12s.

Beautiful car, love the red on it. I'd also hate to change the stock wheels. They look great and suit the car. I'd also stay away from Kleemen or any tuner for that matter. AMG did such a great job that it won't really add anything positive to the driving experience of te SL65. Never been in an SL65, but a couple of rides in a friend's S65 gave me the impression that, once that car is rolling, precious few cars can stay with it, including a BHP610 Kleemen modified E55 that became a mere speck on the horizon.

As far as the wheels go... one, I put those on because I have them shot at those angles... two, he needs fatter rubber and will be changing them anyway, only 285s in the rear

If anyone wants these wheels they will be on sale soon.

No - no - no - the stock gray centered AMG 19's are perfect for that car wiht the lowered suspension - only thing i would add is the renntech trunk lip spoiler
