what an assinine statement. no wonder porsche/911 owners have such a bad rep. and no wonder i get so much satisfaction passing so many of them on the track in my hairdresser boxster.

if anything, it is more pure sports car than the 2+2 911. so please keep your grocery-getter 911s out of my way.

lastly...look into most 911s on the road and you will see a woman driving. and if not, it is some greyhead old guy who thinks he is the **** for driving a Porsche.
Wow!

Relax dude! My point was that to buy the car those of us with wives we have to justify it somehow to the Mrs. So by saying it's for her we get to buy it and we drive the snot out of it!

So Chill dude we're not saying it's a chick car!!

sorry for unloading, it wasn't really directed at you really. just at the masses of folks who seem to think their 911 is superior to all other cars just because it IS a 911.

it is that kind of thinking which is keeping the boxster from getting the performance treatment it needs to fully realize its potential. porsche cow-tows (sp?) to that kind of thinking, which annoys me to no end.

breath in, breath out

A person on our local PCA email list had a VERY good point. Let's all be thankful that Porsche did not follow Ferrari's lead and name it after the company's founder: The Ferry.

This monstrosity is more proof than ever that Porsche has lost its identity. Come on, How many versions can you make of the same freak'in car. Looks to me like they are making alot of stupid mistakes on their way to becoming BMW.

But if they did, who knows, they have "tapped" into a whole new target market.....

But his actual name was Ferdinand, which sounds much better than Cayman. "The new Porsche Ferdinand". Hmmm...

I think most people gonna get the Cayman will take off the "Cayman" logo from the rear. It's not a good name. People will read it as "Gayman"

I am excited to see the final product and performance numbers. This could be a great track car.

BTW your "Gayman" spin is allready making it's way around the web... They should get there money back from the Ad agency they hired to come up with that name!

Uhhh... no your Boxster needs to get the f*ck out of my way!!!

Your Boxster is nowhere near the sports car of either of my 911's.

And not too many women drive GT 911's either... and grayhead old guys who do drive them will blow by your little ***** car with ease.

That being said, I think the Boxster makes a great car for my little sister who is in high school. I thought it might be a great first car for her. Handles well, but accelerates like a castrated 911.

The only Boxster that can be called superior to the 911 is called the Carrera GT. Plain and simple. I bow down to that super Boxster any day of the week.

I don't hate on Boxsters, but when you start putting down 911's, you're asking to be berated.
