Problem with broken tie rod

Ok, so the history is someone hit my passenger rear side a few years ago. I have a 2003 tt. Earlier this year the rear wheel on that side busted a tie rod on that rear passenger wheel for no apparent reason. It broke what appears to be a large bolt that connects this tie rod at the rear of the rear wheel. I can supply a picture if needed. Don't really know the technical names for all this.

When I took it back to the place that repaired the car they said they used the original piece and it must have had a crack. So, they replaced the tie rod.

So, Now the present time. I was at the track this weekend and that tie rod busted at the exact same place as before for no reason. I have taken it to the track a couple of times over the past year and didn't have a problem. No idea why it busted this time.

So, what should i ask the repair shop do in order to feel comfortable in this car again? Is there an after market upgrade i can do to this area of the car to ensure this doesn't happen again?

Thanks for any input. I considered just getting it fixed and trading it in on another 996 tt that hadn't been in an accident. But, I can't find a black/black tt with low miles.
