Tragedy in Kuwait
Here in Kuwait
Just got off the phone with the original poster over at the other forum.
Seems that they were doing a highway run at 325 when a guy pulled out in front of them. The pictures below are the result.
Our thoughts and prayers are with their Families and loved ones.
Please, everybody especially in the Middle East with out beautiful highways, BE CAREFUL out there. Our cars are to be treated with respect, and ALWAYS be weary of the IDIOTS around you on the road. Not everyone is as skilled as we are. Especially late at night and early in the morning when its so tempting to fuel our adrenalin.
May you rest in peace brothers.

It's sad to know that the 2 lost their lives....it's a tragedy. My comments are not addressed at the deceased, but at MUSCLES comments:
BUT to call other drivers IDIOTS is ridiculous. People who drive normally within the speed limit CANNOT expect or adjust to having cars going at +150km/h over the speed limit from behind.
And for you to say that we are "skillful" to be able to drive over the speed limit...??????
Walter Rohrl is skillful. I am sure he does not exceed the speed limit on the autobahn by +150km/h when he is in the controlled portions of it.
Make no mistake. We (including me) who speed so excessively because we have fast cars and think we are skillful, ARE the idiots.
It is OUR responsibility that we make adjustments to the other traffic on the road who ARE obeying the speed limit. NOT the other way around.

What you are saying makes complete sense.
People from Kuwait will understand what I am saying. You have people who have no regard for ANYONE around whether they are going 20 or 200.
We have an infamous long highway stretching for more than 100km that takes you to chalets and the Saudi border. Along this highway are various entry points either from other ring roads or U-Turns for going the other way.
People DO NOT compensate for oncoming traffic here in Kuwait and just shoot in front of you instead of merging in like a normal human being. Specifically late at night and early in the morning. These are the people I call idiots and this is why I said "Especially in the Middle East, since our highway structures are very similar.
But you are absolutely right, we must compensate for those around us ESPECIALLY when speeding.
May they rest in peace

Understand your comments about the "IDIOTS" now with the context you just provided. I did not mean to rant at you, but your first post seemed to be...."misguided".
Just remember, that when we choose to speed at over +200km/h, we as the drivers will shoulder that responsibility regardless of the other IDIOT drivers.
Peace brother....and to those who lost their lives.
