Race Gas for the Texas Mile?
Just trying to get an idea of what brand and octane some of you will be running this weekend.
Also, I see where some will be available at the event (Hyper Fuels).
Any idea what is usually available out there?

I always bring VP MS109 which is 105 octane (pump method R+M/2) fuel. It is the highest octane unleaded fuel I know of. I run about 1.6 bar max so I need this extra insurance.
If you dont run cats (or dont care about fouling them) you can run C16 which is 116 octane for more potential power and engine safety. There is a newer VP Q16 which has similar octane numbers to C16 but is heavily oxygenated for even more power. I think you have to tune for it specifically or risk running lean.
There are other brands of race fuel such as Sunoco and others but I only think VP will be sold at the mile...

Unless you are boosting 2 bar you do not need C16. MS 109 is plenty good for 24/18's.

There is a reason why VP is the world leading in racing fuel technology... Very successful fuels in all types of racing.

C 16 on safe side... to run ms 109 the car has to be specifically tuned for it...
and doing the mile I rather be on the safe side....

This is the first time race fuel will be available at the TX Mile, so I dont know what they will have. I suspect many will be buying it but few will be tuned for it!

VP Fuels Being Sold @ TX Mile
Thanks for the warm welcome! Unfortunately, I'm not assigned to be at the TX Mile this weekend, but our Sales Manager Brad will be out there to answer any questions regarding racing fuel, tuning, applications, etc.
In the future, if you or any fellow car enthusiast buddies have questions, feel free to shoot them my way or email Tech@vpracingfuels.com.
Love the 996, she's a beaut!
