GT2 slave conversion installer in Socal

Hello everyone.

My clutch feels heavier and heavier at startup so I'm guessing I have to deal with the slave and accumulator soon. I was thinking about doing the GT2 conversion which seems to be the favorites among everyone. I asked one of the indy shop and they were reluctant to install the parts because they didn't want the liability? So if anyone in Socal knows a shop that knows how to install the gt2 conversion or if you are satisfied with your install at a certain shop, please recommend here.

I thought about doing doing it myself but I just don't trust myself

You may also want to try Tom at Lucent Motors in Los Angeles - he's very good: (310)231-3328 I have the same issue and just sent him an inquiry on doing it for mine.

out of curiosity, what is the difference between the tt and gt2? how much is kit to do the gt2 conversion? mine was starting to get a little heavy at startups as well.

I visited BBI yesterday and wow! I felt like I was in ***** Wonka factory. It just made my day haha. As far as the conversion and its benefits, I think it deletes the accumulator which is known to fail and you get more feel from your clutch pedal. I'm really looking forward to this mod because when I first got my car the clutch felt so vague and couldn't figure out how to drive it smoothly. I still think I suck but just learned to cope with it haha.

I spoke with Tom and he stated it would be $880 for the conversion to the OEM GT2 setup. I'm going to have it done this week hopefully and will let you know how it goes. My accumulator is leaking so I need to do something regardless.
