South Bay Powder Coating Recs pls

bought a set of 19 inch Work VSSX's and going to get them powder coated.

anybody have a recommendation for powder coating in the Palos Verdes, South Bay area of Los Angeles?

I got a few quotes but they seem all over the place- $30 per wheel up to $100/ wheel.

Do they need to be sand blasted down to bare metal first?

Thanks

If you don't go to bare metal, the coating is not bonding to the base surface, and will only be a strong as the paint under it. So ya, full blast. I just had the rims on my DD coated gunmetal and it was $35/per for a full media blast and coat. To bad I am in OH, cause they did a great job.

anothervr6kid is infamous around these parts
I used Supreme Power Parts in Anaheim. $300 for all 4 wheels. Stock 18" hollow spoke. Sandblasted and done in black... they send them off to get done, great guys and great quality. One thing I made sure they did (they say they always do it) is to tape off the back of the week where it sits on the hub, you don't want that part powder coated, it won't sit flat anymore... I heard a horror story from a guy from an M3 forum that had that part done too, first time on the track his wheel fell off... the lugs must have loosened themselves since it wasn't flush and the wheel was no longer turning perfectly.
