Stock Vs. GT2 IC

Stock Vs. GT2 IC
Does anyone know how much larger the GT2 intercooler is compared to the stock (non x-50 or GT2) intercooler?
I want to upgrade to a bigger intercooler, and the GT2 which will fit with not extra work sounds appealing, as does the price. I understand it still has plastic ends, but whats the difference in core capacity?
Thanks!

same it will fit... if you have them use them but if you have to buy them I suggest something a little more efficient....

I swapped in some gt2 ic's when my car got rear ended, so I took the insruance money and replaced the ic's with the upgraded units. Just from observation, they are not that much better. I think I've heard that they are only about 10% more effecient or so...still good, but not great. I think I bought mine for around 450 on this board.

I offer, free of charge, a complete assembly as well as minor fabrication of the ducks... all you have to do is send the complete units as they sit on the brackets and I send back ready to be installed Ics in the same brackets with the plastic ducks all in place and trimmed... thats worth a few labor hours least... hand made per order, Bell cores used ONLY, 3 version for stock hoses, 2.25"ends, and 2.5" ends...

here is what you get back from me...

Great Looking ICs Mark! You may be the only guy to do all the work like that & you'er right, it's worth a few hrs labor ($).
The sticker is a nice touch. Like everything you do it's top notch.

I have a set of old GT2 IC's you can have if you pick them up. they have some bent fins but I was told that is not a big issue. Honestly, I don't see how GT2 IC's can be such an improvement over the std ones. I can't imagine more than 2-3% gain if that.

Holy crap, have you guys checked out Markski's website lately? Last time I checked it was still under construction, and I just checked it out for fun, and surprise of all surprises, his stuff has AWESOME PRICES! Sorry Mark, but from the quality of your stuff, and given that you are more or less just starting out, I just assumed the stuff would be seriously expensive! I'm not even sure how you can make a profit on your k16g kit with tuning, fpr, exhaust, and turbos! Also, your boost hoses are the cheapest I've seen anywhere!
We'll be talking soon! Good work.

Yea, you know what I mean, starting out as a full-blown vendor of p-car systems.
